This 5 speed package is based on Sturmey Archer's S-RF5(W), that is not the same Sprinter hub used on earlier Bromptons. This 5 speed hub has a range of 256%, which is somewhat less than the BWR 3x2 setup, but more than sufficient for typical city riding. The greatest benefit of this hub is having all 5 gears accessible through a single shifter.  

It is well known that Sturmy Archer S-RF5(W) gear hub is not the easiest to tune, due the small window for proper adjustment. This was also compounded by the fact that Sturmey Archer instructions do not apply to Brompton. In our package, we will include an adapted instruction for Brompton, but it will still require a good patience for initial adjustment.   

Package content:
- Front wheel, complete with rim tape and skewer 
- Rear wheel, complete with rim tape
- Hub fitting kit (axle nuts, indicator chain, cable anchor, non-turn washers, circlip, guide nut)
- Sturmey Archer SLS50 thumb shifter
- Shifter fitting kit (Jagwire LEX SL cable housing, Teflon coated stainless steel cable, Jagwire end caps) 
- Sprocket, per selected size

Sprockets are available in 13T, 14T, and 15T. Please let us know the size of sprocket you decide, in the notes section during check out. If you need help on selecting the sprocket size, please contact us or refer to the gear ratio tables.  

This package is pre-built and ready to ship. If you would like different combination of rims, hubs, spokes, or nipples, we also offer custom built wheelsets through the wheelset configurator.
