This sprocket will fit the Sturmey Archer gear hubs with 3-spline drivers/free hubs, such as the BSR, S-RF3, S-RF5(w), etc. It can also fit other gear hubs, such as Shimano and SRAM, with the same 3 spline specifications
The sprocket is available in 2 thicknesses, 3/32" and 1/8".
The difference in thickness mainly affects the compatiblity with chain and chain tensioner.
3/32" sprockets are the standard thickness used on recent 3 speed bikes, compatible with both single speed and 8 speed chain, and both types of chain tensioners.
1/8" sprockets are more durable/longer wearing, but require using single speed chain, and the fixed type chain tensioners that are standard on single and 3-speed Brompton.
