This adapter will allow the pre-2025 C Line to use the new P/T line factory derailleur (i.e., the “Brompton Advanced Derailleur”) to benefit from more speed and greater gear range. This derailleur adapter will fit Brompton C Line, as well as other Brompton models made after 2004/2005.  
 
This adapter can be adjusted in 3 axes, eliminating possible alignment issues.
 
If you would like to convert the Brompton C line to the newer P/T Line style drivetrain while using factory components as much as possible, this is an essential piece. In addition to this piece, you will also need the following.
- Brompton advanced shifter
- Brompton advanced derailleur
- A compatible single pulley chain tensioner for the C-Line. 
 
If you have the Brompton P/T line, or the post-2025 C line, and want to fit sprocket larger than 21T, you will need the derailleur extension on this page.

Kit content:
  • Alloy parts (2 outside covers, 1 barrel, 1 adapter plate), anodized black
  • Stainless steel hardware, except for the center screw which is grade 12.9 alloy steel 
  • Stainless steel gear cable (31 strand polished)
 
Instructions will be provided in the form of Youtube video.
 
Please note the adapter is designed for the Brompton factory derailleur. While it may be compatible with 3rd party short cage derailleurs, we cannot provide support if there are performance-related issues.
